Year 3 Egyptian cooking workshop

We had the pleasure of working with the travelling kitchen this week. We found out about the food that ancient Egyptians cooked and ate, and that we actually still eat some of it now! Things like hummus and pita bread as well as yogurt and fruit were eaten in Egypt over 5 thousand years ago! We spent the day preparing and cooking and then had a huge feast at the end of the day which our families were invited to. 

Please excuse the lack of photos of the actual cooking- we were so involved that we forgot to take any!

    Looks like such a fun day, cooking and trying Egyptian foods -that we still eat today!
